CARAVELLE By Bulova

Caravelle watches are often known as Caravelle by Bulova. Bulova, founded in 1875 as J Bulova Company by Joseph Bulova and became under the name Bulova Watch Company in 1923, it is an American timepiece (clocks, watches and accessories) manufacturing company. Since the began, Bulova have been successful in growing and expanding.

Bulova established its operations in New York where it made innovations in watchmaking, and developed a number of watchmaking tools. Bulova became one of the biggest luxury watch brands. Its horological innovations included the Accutron watch, first sold in 1960.

Two years later, in 1962, Bulova introduced the Caravelle line of jeweled watches, priced to compete with existing non-jeweled watches in the same market. By 1968, the Caravelle was the largest selling jeweled watch in America. Caravelle has always been an American brand that offers good quality watches that are durable and stylish. These watches have been around for a while and they were very popular when they were newcomer in the market.

Caravelle watches are everyday timepieces that are practical and functional but still stylish.

Skeleton

Undoubtedly this is a GORGEOUS timepiece, preserved in time, it is a Caravelle Skeleton wristwatch by BULOVA, dated from 1978. It is manual wind watch caliber 1241.50, 17 jewels movement, sweep second, Swiss made.

It is a beautiful round case with a very handsome gold skeleton dial design, bold Arabic Numerals and matching hands. Base metal bezel and stainless steel case back. The crystal is in good condition.

After 40 years, it still in LOVELY condition! Runs very well, keeps great time!

This watch is coming with a vintage gray/green alligator leather strap.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men's watches typically measure between 29-36mm (some larger, some smaller) wide excluding the crown. We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust light when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
